About the Arnold Area
Arnold is a small mountain community in Calaveras County, just 15 minutes up the mountain from Murphys. Arnold is an easy 2 to 2.5 hour drive from the Bay Area.
During snow season, the driveway will be plowed when 6” of snow falls, but we cannot guarantee that the public roads will be cleared in the same manner. Please be prepared with 4×4 vehicles and/or chains/cables. No refunds will be available for winter conditions, including in the event of power outages.
Of course, every year is different, but the snow season can start as early as November. Snowfall in Dorrington typically ramps up in January and February. Levels tend to peak in March and then taper off in April.
These are the tendencies, but you can never predict Mother Nature!
